Subject: RE: Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) typing

Dear Samuel,

Reply to Ms Lim’s enquiry:

1.    where could I bring my mother to conduct this test – she need to get a letter(memo or email also acceptable)from the uncle’s physician indicating that a donor search is required and the tests required (which is likely to be HLA ABC & DR low resolution). With that letter, bring her mother to a GP for blood collection. The GP needs to issue a test request form bearing the mother’s name, NRIC, DOB, test requested. Once blood collected, send it personally to HSA at Outram Road (opp Outram MRT) and make payment via NETS. To call HLA Lab at 62130633 when arrived at HSA.

2.      how long we could get the report – 7 working days, please provide home address for report to be
delivered. A soft copy can be provided via email.

3.      procedure of the test – refer #1, depends on the physician requirement for matching in Malaysia
which is likely to be HLA-ABC & DR typing.

4.      cost of the test – if Singaporean or PR, HLA-ABC low res is $200 and HLA-DR low res is $163. If NR,
HLA-ABC low res is $300 and HLA-DR low res is $220. Have to add 7% GST to total cost.
